Algebra Fundamentals
Linear Relationships
Spot steady change and measure how fast it happens: rates of change and slopes, equations of lines in slope-intercept, point-slope and standard form, parallel and perpendicular lines, intercepts, lines fitted to data, and linear inequalities.

Points on a Line
When every step adds the same amount, the points of a graph lie on a straight line: that is a linear relationship.
Start
🔒
Increasing by One
The change for one more is what each extra count adds; when it is the same every time, the points lie on a line: a linear relationship.
Premium
🔒
Removing Objects
Taking away the same amount every time also gives points on a straight line, one that slants down from left to right.

🔒
Decreasing Rates
When every count takes away the same amount, the rate is decreasing and the points still lie on a line: a linear relationship that slants down.
Premium
🔒
Nonlinear Relationships
When the steps are not all the same, the points do not lie on a line: the relationship is nonlinear.

Level Check
Fifteen questions with no hints on constant change: steps read from points, counts that reach a total, points that keep a line straight, and a look back at evaluating and solving.
